4 morning news we are checking in hot spot in sunnyvale, mountain view. 101 in the north bound direction just before highway 237. it was at the lawrence expressway the truck accident occurred. kron fours michael pelton is on the scene. michael have you been able to learn anything about the cleanup operations or the accidents that cause the problem? >> well george this will take a couple more hours. this will cause a headache for the morning commute. his father with the big rig just before 3:00 the chp says the big rig collided with a guard rail. that disabled the big rig. for the cannot clear it out of the highway because it is leaking fuel. it has leaked about 30 gal. into the roadway. the cannot tow it away because they need to get the remaining fuel out of the big rig so it is safe to take the big rig off of the freeway. >> they have opened to lanes on the highway. traffic is

moving on the left of your screen. two more lanes remain closed. that will cause a big back up for the morning commute. as far as the driver he suffered minor injuries. >> the cause of the crash the chp says the driver says he was caught off that forced him into the guard rail but that is under investigation--cut off. >> thank you michael. let us go to the traffic maps. this is the location of the problem you can see the back up has grown on the northbound side. the good news is they have opened up an extra lane and are going to keep the two right lanes shutdown instead of three. there will be to lanes available. one alternate route is to take 880 in the north bound direction to highway 237 and to cut across onto highway 101.
